Disney Wonder will be moving its home port from Vancouver to Seattle.
This is Disney Wonder's first year on the Alaska cruise route. The ship will be based out of Vancouver this season and is stopping in Victoria for the first time on May 2 and pulls in again on Sept. 21.
Disney's move to Vancouver this year is expected to generate $40 million for the economy, based on about $2 million per call.
A Disney company release said beginning May 28, 2012, Disney Wonder will sail a total of 14 seven night cruises from Seattle to Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, Alaska, as well as Victoria.
