P&O Cruises has unveiled its 2016/2017 holidays featuring brand new event cruises, exciting new itineraries, more evening and overnight calls in popular destinations; more Greek Island cruises and maiden calls in Corigliano Calabro and Crotone, Italy and in Tarragona, Spain.
To allow guests to immerse themselves in a destination and experience the vibrant nightlife, P&O Cruises is offering evening calls in 33 ports and overnights in 13 popular destinations including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bridgetown, New Orleans, New York, Quebec, Reykjavik, St Petersburg and Venice.
Maiden Calls
With its fleet of eight ships – including the newly-launched Britannia – P&O Cruises will continue to offer the biggest selection of year-round cruises from Southampton as well as seven and 14 night Mediterranean fly-cruises from Venice or Genoa on Oceana and 14 and 28 night Caribbean fly-cruises on Azura and Britannia.

New for 2016 is a 19 night cruise on Aurora (R619) departing November 1, featuring Athens, Naples and Rhodes as well as Kusadasi for tours to Ephesus.

- Corigliano Calabro, Italy – situated in the Plain of Sibari overlooking the Ionian Sea, this is a little-known part of Calabria, where ancient traditions and customs are still part of daily life. Highlights include an aqueduct, the ruins of the ancient city of Thurii and the nearby site of Sybaris. Available on Oriana X610.
- Crotone, Italy - founded around 710 BC, Crotone was long one of the most flourishing cities of Magna Graecia, an area of Southern Italy extensively colonized by Greek settlers. Today, visitors enjoy the fruits of this port city's rich history, including Cortone's medieval cathedral, the 16th century castle of Charles V, as well as numerous museums and art galleries. - Tarragona, Spain – enjoy a mix of laid-back beach life and ancient history in this Catalonian city which boasts a handful of sandy beaches, a walled old town, and a collection of UNESCO-listed Roman ruins. Barcelona is just an hour’s drive away. Available on Oriana X612.
