Published Friday, December 16th 2011 - Updated Friday, December 16th 2011MSC Cruises, the fourth largest cruise line company in the world and market leader in the Mediterranean, South Africa and Brazil, has announced that PAC Group will officially become the company’s new General Sales Agent (GSA) for Russia, Belorussia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan with effect from 1 January 2012. The head office of PAC Group is based in Moscow.
The announcement was made by Alfredo Spadon, MSC Cruises Corporate Commercial Manager Emerging Markets, at a press conference held at the Hotel National in Moscow this morning and attended by leading local dignitaries, civic authorities, influential members of trade, industry, civil society and the media.
“The company is proud to announce this GSA agreement. It is an important step that affirms the close relationship we have shared with PAC Group since 2006 as Preferred Sales Agent (PSA) and rewards the excellent results they have achieved with us. It also endorses our commitment to the continued growth of cruise tourism in the region.”
“Our guests here in Russia and in the so-called emerging area, enjoy only the very best the world has to offer and we believe they will be utterly captivated by the Baltic and Black Sea itineraries scheduled aboard our luxurious floating palaces MSC Magnifica, MSC Poesia and MSC Opera in 2012.”
A total of 12 magnificent Baltic cruises will depart out of St. Petersburg aboard MSC Magnifica and MSC Poesia from 17 May 2012 through to 22 August 2012, while three cruises will depart from Odessa aboard MSC Opera to destinations in the Black Sea on 21 September and 3 and 14October 2012.
Spadon said these extraordinary close-to-home cruises were likely to top the wish list of local travelers who will revel in the outstanding service and hospitality, fine dining, world class entertainment, recreation and MSC Aurea SPA facilities, sumptuous luxury and sophisticated design that MSC Cruises is so famous for.
Other year round MSC Cruises destinations were likely to prove equally enticing, in particular the company’s signature East and West Mediterranean cruises, as well as new itineraries to the Red Sea, that will be launched in 2012, and will not pose VISA complications for Russian guests.
“We would also urge our most esteemed local guests to try our exclusive MSC Yacht Club where butler serviced suites, gourmet dining and much more are just part and parcel of an ultra-luxurious private sanctuary aboard the flagships MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia.
“The most discerning of guests present today will be delighted to hear that the design and offerings of MSC Yacht Club have been taken to an even higher level of excellence in the build of our latest Fantasia class mega-ship, MSC Divina, to be launched in May 2012. All three of these exceptional vessels cruise year round in the Mediterranean Sea and we are convinced that they also perfectly answer to the requirement of Russian holiday makers” said Spadon.
