MSC Cruises Reportedly Considering Ordering Two New Ships

MSC Cruises is reportedly considering ordering two newbuilds that would be 20 percent larger than its 138,000-ton Fantasia class, Seatrade Insider reports. The article also said that MSC Cruises CEO Pierfrancesco Vago is negotiating with STX France for a hull of a ship ordered by a now-defunct Libyan cruise start-up. If the newbuild order materializes, the ships would enter service in 2014 and 2015, Seatrade said. Vago was interviewed at Seatrade Europe now taking place in Hamburg, Germany
